An Unexpected Red Sox Game

There are times in life when unexpected things happen, like say for instance, your computer goes kapoot or your washing machine spins its last spin and heads for washing machine heaven. Then there are the times, hallelujah, when you get that random unexpected phone call from a good friend asking if you'd like to go to the Red Sox game...tomorrow. That's what happened to us this week when our friends Gerry and Jeanne called to invite us to the Red Sox game. Of course Jerry told Mark to give him a call back to let him know, but no matter what was going on for us, Monday night, it was OFF. We were going to the game and nothing was going to change that. Actually, we didn't have anything planned so it was a go right from the start.

We had great (to say the least) seats, just a couple of sections behind home plate which, when you are only a mediocre baseball fan like I am, helps immensely to pay attention to the game. I'm actually surprised at how well I kept track of what was going on, lol. Even though, when you're at a game, you don't sit and have long conversations with your friends, it was great to be with Jeanne and Gerry and to have a few laughs. I really appreciate that they invited us to go, especially for Mark who hadn't been to a game all year long. I'm throwing a big THANK YOU out to Gerry and Jeanne for making an ordinary Monday night, fun and unexpected.

Here are few pictures from the evening.

How awesome are these seats?
